He cautions against feeling safe to vote for a third party because one is not in a 'swing' state, because the tightening polls are showing at least some of the so-called safe states have become swing states. He then explains that it's pointless to cut off your nose to spite your face. Or even to save face, meaning one's pride. Do you want to live to fight another day or die on your self-righteous sword?
