Maher's interview with the President

See it below. Obama talks about the balance between a healthy market and a social State. If he were starting from scratch he would recommend a single payer healthcare system. But since we didn't start from scratch, hence Obamacare. However he does agree that prisons should not be privatized at all. Media should return to being fact-based and not just promote false equivalency for the sake of ratings. He equivocates on the issue of marijuana legalization.

There is a good back and forth over religion, where Maher interrupts on occasion. The discussion of science, and how some school boards are watering it down for a religious agenda, is one topic. Critical thinking is paramount to discerning truth from fiction, but even that is under siege from some of these school boards.

The issue of ordinary citizens not having adequate and accurate information is of grave importance. Obama thinks most people have good hearts and instincts, but they have filters like Fox that misinform them. So media again is an issue, and how it must first of all be fact-based. How to achieve that is the problem for which there is no current solution.
